The Salted Beast

[Verse 1] Storm is brewing in the east

I will hunt the salted beast

Board the hull with heavy wood

Kill the day like no one should

Shout the names of sailors gone

Wait for golden break of dawn

Raise the iron through the spray

Tear the nets and make my way

[Pre-Chorus] Drink to life

Drink to pride

Open mouth

Nothing left to hide

[Chorus] Oh we haul on the line

Haul on the line

Drinking all the whiskey

Until we feel just fine

Yes we haul on the line

Haul on the line

Fortune is a mistress

Waiting for the sign

[Chorus] Oh we haul on the line

Haul on the line

Drinking all the whiskey

Until we feel just fine

Yes we haul on the line

Haul on the line

Fortune is a mistress

Waiting for the sign

[Drop] Haul on

Haul on

[Verse 2] Ropes are burning through my hand

Far away from stable land

Salt is crusting on my skin

Let the ancient ritual begin

Blood is thick like winter oil

Rising up from blackened soil

Chest is open

Chest is wide

Rolling with the surging tide

[Pre-Chorus] Drink to life

Drink to pride

Open mouth

Nothing left to hide

[Chorus] Oh we haul on the line

Haul on the line

Drinking all the whiskey

Until we feel just fine

Yes we haul on the line

Haul on the line

Fortune is a mistress

Waiting for the sign

[Drop] Line

Haul on

Haul on the line

[Chorus] Oh we haul on the line

Haul on the line

Drinking all the whiskey

Until we feel just fine

Yes we haul on the line

Haul on the line

Fortune is a mistress

Waiting for the sign
