Xena's War Cry (Song Battle Round Two - DP vs AIG)

[Intro]

No warning shot, no waiting for the sign

I'm already moving, already past the line

(past the line, past the line)

[Verse 1]

You bring a shield forged out of borrowed reflection

I bring a blade sharpened by pure intention

Every scar on this armor is proof of a fight I've won

While you're polishing steel for a war that's never begun

(I've won, I've won)

[Pre-Chorus]

This is the battlefield, not a game of pretend

I don't flinch, I fight until the end

(until the end, until the end)

[Chorus]

I am Xena, I don't retreat

War cry rising underneath my feet

You can dress the part, but you can't take the throne

This is my battlefield now, and it's mine alone

I am Xena, I don't retreat

Victory's earned in the heat of defeat

[Verse 2]

You show up in shadows, call it your battle stance

I've bled for every step, you've barely learned to dance

You talk about a kingdom you have never had to guard

While I've held this ground alone, through every hit, every scar

(every scar, every scar)

[Pre-Chorus]

This is the battlefield, not a game of pretend

I don't flinch, I fight until the end

(until the end, until the end)

[Chorus]

I am Xena, I don't retreat

War cry rising underneath my feet

You can dress the part, but you can't take the throne

This is my battlefield now, and it's mine alone

I am Xena, I don't retreat

Victory's earned in the heat of defeat

[Bridge]

No mercy in this, but I'll give you your due

You stepped on my battlefield, so here's what's true

This isn't hatred, this is just how legends collide

I don't beg for a crown, I take it in stride

(in stride, in stride)

[Chorus]

I am Xena, and the war is done

You came for a battle, but there's only one

This was never a duel, it was just the truth on display

Bow to the battlefield, then walk away

(walk away, walk away)

I am Xena, and the war is done

Legends don't share the throne, there's only one

[Outro]
