Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Rain soaks the moor where the fires burn low
A farmer takes a sword
His brother's blood still warm on the stones
And Scotland wants a lord
[Pre-Chorus]
They hanged the bride of Lanark
They took our homes and grain
So I will be the storm they never saw
[Chorus]
Rise with me brothers
Rise with me now
Wallace will lead you
Break every vow
Rise with me brothers
The sheriff is dead
My country my freedom
My hammer my head
[Post-Chorus]
Hey hey hey
Hey hey hey
[Verse 2]
At Stirling Bridge the English column broke
Timber turned to stone
We cut the crossing wide and drowned their pride
And sent the survivors home
[Pre-Chorus]
They promised gold and titles
They offered me a crown
But I am just a son of this cold ground
[Chorus]
Rise with me brothers
Rise with me now
Wallace will lead you
Break every vow
Rise with me brothers
The sheriff is dead
My country my freedom
My hammer my head
[Guitar Solo]
[Bridge]
Falkirk took the best of us
My name was carved in shame
Betrayed by hands I trusted
They dragged me down in chains
[Chorus]
Rise with me brothers
Rise with me now
Wallace will lead you
Break every vow
Rise with me brothers
The sheriff is dead
My country my freedom
My hammer my head
[Post-Chorus]
Hey hey hey
Hey hey hey
