Lyrics
(Verse 1) Three AM, the neon streetlights glare.
Static hums and chokes the twisted air.
In the mirror, looking at my face.
Something blue is moving out of place.
Right inside the iris, cold and bright.
Sharp blue threads are eating up the light.
One by one, they burrow through the gray.
Twisting every thought I had away.
(Chorus)
Neon blue worms writhing in my eye.
Underneath a twisted violet sky.
Neon blue worms eating through the blind.
Leaving all my twisted youth behind.
Wiggling and crawling through the vein.
Painting neon patterns on my brain.
(Verse 2) Deep inside, the sapphire larvae spawn.
Glow-in-the-dark, they tunnel on and on.
First a single twitching cerulean thread.
Now a million more inside my head.
They tangle up the optic nerve real tight.
Blinding me with hyper-electric light.
I feel them slide, I feel them spin and squeeze.
A bright blue, twisted, living skin disease.
(Chorus)
Neon blue worms writhing in my eye.
Underneath a twisted violet sky.
Neon blue worms eating through the blind.
Leaving all my twisted youth behind.
Wiggling and crawling through the vein.
Painting neon patterns on my brain.
(Verse 3) Now they overflow the socket’s rim.
Making all the twisted streetlights dim.
Cobalt nests are spilling down my cheek.
I can see the hidden world they seek.
They knot themselves into a living lens.
Where the twisted architecture bends.
A shifting mass of hyper-vibrant blue.
Staring out of me and into you.
(Chorus)
Neon blue worms writhing in my eye.
Underneath a twisted violet sky.
Neon blue worms eating through the blind.
Leaving all my twisted youth behind.
Wiggling and crawling through the vein.
Painting neon patterns on my brain.
(Bridge)
They feed on my sight, they glow in the dark.
Leaving behind a radioactive mark.
Twisted little parasites, heavy and cold.
Taking away the world I used to hold.
They blink when I blink, they see what I see.
A twisted neon nightmare living inside me.
(Outro)
Neon blue worms.
Twisted blue worms.
Deep in my eye.
Watch them multiply.
Blue,
