Lyrics
[Verse 1]
I left the city with dust on my shoes
Chasing a legend had nothing to lose
An old man told me on a broken road
About a hidden lake where the wild ones grow
[Pre-Chorus]
He said go north where the pine trees sway
Where the sun don't set till the end of day
[Chorus]
There is a place called Cassandra Lake where the wild flowers grow
Oh where the water's crystal clear
And all your sorrows disappear
There is a place called Cassandra Lake where the wild flowers grow
And I swear my heart finally found home
[Post-Chorus]
(Wild flowers grow)
(Wild flowers grow)
[Verse 2]
I found the footpath through the heather high
The lake was silver under violet sky
Violet white and golden bloom
Lighting up the dusk like perfume
[Pre-Chorus]
And the hills all lean to hear
Every secret I held near
[Chorus]
There is a place called Cassandra Lake where the wild flowers grow
Oh where the water's crystal clear
And all your sorrows disappear
There is a place called Cassandra Lake where the wild flowers grow
And I swear my heart finally found home
[Post-Chorus]
(Wild flowers grow)
(Wild flowers grow)
[Bridge]
Ooooh lay down your weary head
Where the wild flowers paint the meadow red
Ooooh the wind will softly sing
Cassandra's waiting love will bring
[Chorus]
There is a place called Cassandra Lake where the wild flowers grow
Stay with me till the summer's end
Where the wild and the quiet mend
There is a place called Cassandra Lake where the wild flowers grow
My heart will stay where wild flowers grow
[Post-Chorus]
(Wild flowers grow)
(Wild flowers grow)
[Outro]
Cassandra Lake where the wild flowers grow
