Lyrics
Searching for a parking space is one of humanity’s least dignified rituals. It begins with optimism, passes through negotiation, and ends with the sort of spiritual collapse usually reserved for shipwrecks and tax audits.
You enter the car park believing, foolishly, in order. You imagine rows, logic, symmetry, perhaps even mercy. Instead you are confronted by a vast metallic wilderness in which every space is occupied by a vehicle whose driver clearly got here five minutes before the universe was invented.
You circle. You reassess. You begin inventing new theories of time. A car leaves, and for one bright, beautiful moment you think: yes. Then, of course, another car appears from nowhere and claims the space with the ruthless efficiency of a bureaucrat stamping “denied” on your evening.
And yet you continue, because this is what civilized life has become: a prolonged, low-speed battle of hope against tarmac.
So yes, there may be no parking space now. But the important thing is to keep moving, because somewhere, hidden between two SUVs and a badly parked hatchback, lies the faint possibility of triumph.
