Lyrics
[Intro] Yo ho
Yo ho ho
[Verse 1] I traded my leg for a splintered plank of oak
Now I limp like a crab
Silver tucked in a heavy burlap sack
Stolen cheese in my vest
[Pre-Chorus] We sailed past the point
We sailed through the gale
We sailed till the keg ran dry
[Chorus] Rum for the parrot
Rum for the rat
Golden coins in a folded hat
Gold for the captain
Gold for the cat
Buried it deep under the welcome mat
Buried it deep under the welcome mat
[Post-Chorus] Ha ha ha
Drink it down
Down down down
[Verse 2] Hooks are quite tricky for scratching an itchy nose
Bloody metal and brine
Mistook the admiral for a giant ham
Poked him right in the ribs
[Pre-Chorus] We sailed past the point
We sailed through the gale
We sailed till the keg ran dry
[Chorus] Rum for the parrot
Rum for the rat
Golden coins in a folded hat
Gold for the captain
Gold for the cat
Buried it deep under the welcome mat
Buried it deep under the welcome mat
[Post-Chorus] Ha ha ha
Drink it down
Down down down
[Bridge] Missing an eye but I see the sandwich clearly
Smelling the beef
Grabbed the ham
Swallowed the ale
Tripped on the dock and we set the sail
[Chorus] Rum for the parrot
Rum for the rat
Golden coins in a folded hat
Gold for the captain
Gold for the cat
Buried it deep under the welcome mat
Buried it deep under the welcome mat
