Lyrics
[INTRO] Yeah. Home was right here.
Right about where this crater starts.
Crazy thing is…
when I first built this place,
I thought it was temporary.
Just a little cobblestone house to survive the night.
Then somehow…
it became:
the storage room
the safe place
the mining checkpoint
the place I always came back to
Funny how fast blocks turn into memories.
Man…
that roof really did look terrible though.
[VERSE 1] There used to be a house on this hill
Little ugly place but it felt real
Chest by the furnace, bed by the wall
Tiny farm outside and that was all
Nothing special honestly
Cobblestone floors awkwardly
Roof looked weird from every side
But somehow it still felt like mine
Now it’s just dirt and floating blocks
Smoke in the air and a broken crop
One Creeper turned weeks into dust
That’s Minecraft…
…and honestly, kinda us.
We build things hopin’ they last forever
Even knowin’ everything temporary
Still decorate like time won’t move
Still get attached to digital rooms
[PRE-CHORUS] Funny how losing fake houses…
Can feel weirdly real.
[CHORUS] Home was right here…
By the river next to those trees over there…
Now it’s just silence in the midnight air…
And a crater where I used to care
Home was right here…
Built from blocks and dumb ideas…
But for a little while…
Life actually felt safe here.
[VERSE 2] I remember late nights fixing walls
Listening to cave sounds through the halls
Cooking food while rain hit glass
Those peaceful little survival tasks
My wolf used to sleep by the door
Torches glowed across the floor
Friends stopped by sometimes online
Back before schedules stole our time
And maybe it sound dramatic sayin’ this
Over a world made outta pixels
But memories don’t ask if they logical
They just show up when the music hits
Now I stand where the base once stood
Tryna remember where each room was
Storage room there… farm over there…
Nether portal somewhere around here…
Man.
[BRIDGE] Maybe home ain’t the blocks themselves…
Maybe it’s who you were while building them.
[VERSE 3] Sunrise slowly hit the ruins
Bird sounds playing like nothin’ ruined
Game moved on like worlds always do
But I stood there missin’ what I knew
Then I laughed a little through the pain
‘Cause realistically?
That house looked insane.
Random dirt patches everywhere
One room literally led nowhere
Roof made zero architectural sense
And I still defended it like generational wealth
That’s the thing though.
Doesn’t gotta be perfect to matter.
Doesn’t gotta last forever either.
Sometimes a messy little place…
Still becomes home.
[FINAL CHORUS] Home was right here…
Every torch and block still feel near…
Even if the world disappear…
Part of me still livin’ here
Home was right here…
And maybe someday I’ll rebuild it…
Different walls… different view…
…but I’ll still remember this one too.
[OUTRO] Respawn Point Missing.
Dang.
You know what’s weird?
Tomorrow I’ll probably rebuild everything again.
Another house.
Another farm.
Another chest full of useless junk I swear I need later.
And eventually…
that place will feel like home too.
That’s kinda the whole Minecraft experience, huh?
Everything explodes eventually…
…but we always come back with another pickaxe anyway.
Alright.
Let’s start over.
