I'm fading like a photograph

Burning from the aftermath

Every memory starts to blur

I don't know what's mine anymore

I see the world through someone else's eyes

Every truth feels like a disguise

I scream inside but nothing moves

Like I'm trapped beneath somebody's shoes

No light inside

No place to hide

I lost the war

I closed my eyes

No light inside

No voice remains

Just echoes dancing

Inside my veins

Look around

The silence won

The weak are gone

The strong become

You feared becoming what I am

Now look

You barely understand

You called me darkness

You called me pain

Yet when I came

You used my name

Not for long.
