Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Black dress and black heels on the stage
The lights cut through the smoke and rage
They press against the barrier line
Hollow eyes that want what's mine
[Pre-Chorus]
I feel them crawling underneath my skin
Every snarl a song I've yawned within
[Chorus]
I feed the animals tonight
Bare your teeth and take a bite
I feed the animals tonight
Watch me glow beneath the light
[Post-Chorus]
Take a bite
Take a bite
Mm
[Verse 2]
My voice so crisp above the roar
A different creature at my door
They hang on every syllable
So starved and so insatiable
[Pre-Chorus]
I wind them up and watch them sway
One clipped command and they obey
[Chorus]
I feed the animals tonight
Bare your teeth and take a bite
I feed the animals tonight
Watch me glow beneath the light
[Post-Chorus]
Take a bite
Take a bite
Open wide
[Bridge]
Cool and calm in polished lace
A wolfish hunger on each face
This little slip of silk and poise
Subdues a hundred borrowed voices
[Chorus]
I feed the animals tonight
Bare your teeth and take a bite
I feed the animals tonight
Watch me glow beneath the light
[Post-Chorus]
Take a bite
Take a bite
Mm
