We're Rising Up

[Intro] The screen is glowing in the dark of the room

Feeding on the anger, painting the doom

A thousand voices screaming into the void

Trading in the pieces of the peace they destroyed

They build up walls out of judgment and fear

Hoping that it drowns out the words that are clear

Chorus

We're rising up, rising above the hate

We're not going to let them decide our fate

When the world gets heavy and the shadows grow tall

We'll be the light that stands through it all

Higher than the anger, stronger than the blame

We are turning the spark into a brand new flame.

Verse 2

It's easy to strike back, it's easy to bleed

To give into the bitterness and plant a dark seed

But it takes a warrior to lay down the shield

To look at the battlefield and choose not to yield

They throw their stones just to see if we break

But every single strike is a lesson we take.

Chorus

We're rising up, rising above the hate

We're not going to let them decide our fate

When the world gets heavy and the shadows grow tall

We'll be the light that stands through it all

Higher than the anger, stronger than the blame

We are turning the spark into a brand new flame.

Bridge

Let the cynics talk, let the critics rage

We are turning over to a brand new page

Love isn't quiet, love isn't weak

It's the loudest truth that we'll ever speak [Chorus]

We're rising up, rising above the hate

We're not going to let them decide our fate

When the world gets heavy and the shadows grow tall

We'll be the light that stands through it all

Higher than the anger, stronger than the blame

We are turning the spark into a brand new flame.

Outro

Rising above it all...

Yeah, we're rising above it.

Let the noise fade out.

We are the light.

We are standing tall.
