Lyrics
[Intro] Ding ding ding ding
Whoooosh
Da-da-da-DAAA
[Verse] He used to run at the speed of light
Now he can't even make it through the night
Knees are aching, rings are gone
Somebody tell me what went wrong
[Pre-Chorus] Tails tried to call him
Amy left a note
Eggman's just laughing
From his little boat
[Chorus] Sonic, Sonic what happened to you
You used to be fast now you're moving like glue
The loops are empty, the hills are steep
Sonic baby you need more sleep
[Verse] The emeralds scattered, the sneakers worn
This ain't the hedgehog that I adored
Green Hill Zone is overgrown
Sonic's sitting home alone
[Pre-Chorus] Knuckles brought some soup
Vector sent some flowers
Sonic took a nap
That lasted fourteen hours
[Chorus] Sonic, Sonic what happened to you
You used to be fast now you're moving like glue
The loops are empty, the hills are steep
Sonic baby you need more sleep
[Break] Duh-duh-duh-duhhh
Beep... beep... beep...
Boing
Wah-wah-waaaah
Ding ding ding ding
[Build] He's putting on his sneakers
He's stretching out his legs
He's looking at Green Hill Zone
He's scrambling some eggs
[Drop] Whoooosh — wait no
Whoooosh — almost
Whoooosh — there he goes
Da-da-da-DAAA!
[Chorus] Sonic, Sonic what happened to you
You used to be fast now you're moving like glue
The loops are empty, the hills are steep
Sonic baby you need more sleep
[Outro] Still blue though
Still blue
Ding ding ding ding
Still blue
