Lost Paradise (Inspired by Paradise Lost by John Milton)

[Instrumental Intro]

[Verse 1]

Cast down from the golden heights

Into the everlasting night

A crown of pride a throne of flame

In pandemoniums black domain

[Pre-Chorus]

He spreads his wings of faded grace

To find the newborn sacred place

Where innocence is bound in clay

And light is chasing dark away

[Chorus]

Oh paradise is lost tonight

The serpent whispers in the light

We tasted knowledge bore the blame

And wrapped our naked souls in shame

[Post-Chorus]

Lost tonight (tonight)

Lost tonight (tonight)

[Verse 2]

Beside the tree she stood alone

To hear a voice of velvet tone

He chose her hand he shared the fall

And for her love gave his all

[Pre-Chorus]

The thunder rolls the shadows grow

A broken world of sweat and woe

The judgment falls upon the land

Driven away by holy hand

[Chorus]

Oh paradise is lost tonight

The serpent whispers in the light

We tasted knowledge bore the blame

And wrapped our naked souls in shame

[Post-Chorus]

Lost tonight (tonight)

Lost tonight (tonight)

[Guitar and Orchestra Solo]

[Chorus]

Oh paradise is lost tonight

The serpent whispers in the light

We tasted knowledge bore the blame

And wrapped our naked souls in shame
