Lyrics
[Verse 1] And why would I fool myself?
If today I'm feeling great
And why would I believe that everything is wrong?
If today I'm feeling great
And sometimes life isn't a total drama
Not everything is always a mess
And nobody knows me when I'm happy
[Pre-chorus] Nobody knows what I'm like in my original version
I'm too lazy to be down and sad
If a star ever shines in the sky, it will be today
[Chorus] Because I'm happy
(uh-uh-uh, uh-uh uh)
And everyone knows that I'm happy
(uh-uh-uh, uh-uh uh)
And when I'm happy, the sky shines and nothing goes wrong
That's my gift, to be happy and attract others
And if you go blind from so much light, you'll heal!
Everyone likes it
That I'm happy
[Drop] (uh-uh-uh, uh-uh uh)
(uh-uh-uh, uh-uh uh)
(uh-uh-uh, uh-uh uh)
(uh-uh-uh, uh-uh uh)
[Verse 2] I've taken a step that many haven't yet taken
The fire warms me but doesn't burn me
I feel comfortable, everything is to my liking
Because everyone here is enjoying themselves
[Pre-chorus] Nobody knows what I'm like in my original version
I'm too lazy to be sad and upset
If I ever win the lottery, it'll be today
[Chorus] Because I'm happy
(uh-uh-uh, uh-uh uh)
And everyone knows I'm happy
(uh-uh-uh, uh-uh uh)
And when I'm happy, the sky shines and nothing goes wrong
That's my gift, to be happy and attract others
And if You're going blind from so much light, you'll heal!
Everyone likes it
When I'm happy
[Drop] (uh-uh-uh, uh-uh uh)
(uh-uh-uh, uh-uh uh)
(uh-uh-uh, uh-uh uh)
(uh-uh-uh, uh-uh uh)
[Bridge] When I'm happy
Everyone wants to be with me
When I'm happy
It's never cold
When I'm happy I'll always be there
[Verse 3] And I hope people realize that being sad is the worst
Bitter, angry, irritable
And that's where the money goes
[Chorus] Because I'm happy
(uh-uh-uh, uh-uh uh)
And everyone knows I'm happy
(uh-uh-uh, uh-uh uh)
And when I'm happy, the sky shines and nothing goes wrong
That's my gift, being happy and attracting others
And if you go blind from so much light, you'll be fine You'll heal!
Everyone likes it
That you're happy
[Drop] (uh-uh-uh, uh-uh uh)
(uh-uh-uh, uh-uh uh)
(uh-uh-uh, uh-uh uh)
(uh-uh-uh, uh-uh uh)
