Hands Up to the Sky

[Chorus]

Let the rain fall down on me

Let the puddles rise up high

Let my hands reach for the sky

Oh oh oh I pray

[Verse 1]

Morning broke without a warning

Sky went grey and generous

I stood barefoot on the pavement

Let it wash the rest of us

Every drop a tiny promise

Every gutter sings a stream

I ain't running for the doorway

I ain't waking from this dream

[Chorus]

Let the rain fall down on me

Let the puddles rise up high

Let my hands reach for the sky

Oh oh oh I pray

[Drop]

Let it fall let it fall on me

Let it fall let it fall on me

[Verse 2]

Mama told me storms are seasons

Papa said they pass in time

So I'm standing in the downpour

Like a garden in its prime

Let the water find my shoulders

Let it settle in my shoes

I got nothing left to shelter

I got everything to lose

[Chorus]

Let the rain fall down on me

Let the puddles rise up high

Let my hands reach for the sky

Oh oh oh I pray

[Post-Chorus]

Oh oh oh I pray

Oh oh oh I pray

[Bridge]

Rise up rise up

Let the low ground flood with light

Rise up rise up

I am open I am wide

[Chorus]

Let the rain fall down on me

Let the puddles rise up high

Let my hands reach for the sky

Oh oh oh I pray

[Drop]

Let it fall let it fall on me

Let it fall let it fall on me
