Lyrics
*Small Scale*
Scuttling beneath giant fronds in the humid muck,
Hatched with a permanent snarl and zero luck,
Measuring mere inches against the prehistoric gloom,
Every rustling thicket feels like a tiny doom.
The ancient swamps bubble with primeval heat,
While thunderous footsteps shake the dirt under my feet.
Small scale, big venom, ruling the undergrowth slime,
An angry hatchling surviving the brutal prime,
Every lumbering titan is a nuisance in my way,
Just waiting to grow large enough to make them pay.
Here comes a massive Triceratops blocking the trail,
Swishing about its heavy, armored tail,
Staring down at me with an indifferent, dull eye,
Too slow and too stupid to even bother to try.
Then the ground shudders as the tyrant lizard king roars,
A mountain of terror stalking through the damp outdoors,
Looking for a snack to fill his gigantic maw,
While I dodge his teeth and snap my own jaw.
Small scale, big venom, ruling the undergrowth slime,
An angry hatchling surviving the brutal prime,
Every lumbering titan is a nuisance in my way,
Just waiting to grow large enough to make them pay.
Pterosaurs circle overhead like morbid, leather kites,
Dropping shadows across my nocturnal fights,
Ankylosaurus drags a club that could crush a stone,
Leaving me to scurry through the wilderness alone.
No respect for the ancient giants who claim the land,
I've got a bad attitude they'll never understand.
Small scale, big venom, ruling the undergrowth slime,
An angry hatchling surviving the brutal prime,
Every lumbering titan is a nuisance in my way,
Just waiting to grow large enough to make them pay.
Small scale yeah yeah Small scale yeah yeah
