Dark Bunny Creeping Through The Hall

[Intro]

Mm

Mm-hmm

Step light

No sound

[Verse 1]

Black velvet hood pulled over my crown

White gloves on steady when the sun goes down

I hum a lullaby you almost learned

Then pocket every secrets that your walls earned

Sweet perfume and a razor smile

I tip my head back and stay a while

[Pre-Chorus]

They call me darling with the crooked teeth

Softest little monster underneath

Come closer baby I don't bite

Unless I've got the lights off right

[Chorus]

Dark Bunny Dark Bunny creeping through the hall

Cute little velvet boots that don't make a sound at all

Hop-hop hush-hush follow where I go

Every rose I lay down used to be your own

Dark Bunny Dark Bunny gigglin' in the shade

Sweetest little nightmare ever made

I tap-tap on your window soft and slow

You won't know I'm here until I go

[Drop]

Don't look back

Don't look back

Don't look back now rabbit

[Verse 2]

I pin a black ribbon on every fence post

Count the little heartbeats like cereal toast

You close the blinds and bar the door

I'm sittin' in your mirror on the floor

I leave one tiny note in your drawer

Second line reads I'm not a bore

Third line tells you not to snooze

Cause I already know your favorite shoes

[Pre-Chorus]

Pretty little monster in a bow

Once I find you I won't let you go

Sweet as sugar cold as stone

I know every secret you kept alone

[Bridge]

One soft foot

Two soft teeth

Three soft knuckles underneath

You count again

I'm already in

[Breakdown]

Black bow

Black smile

Don't ask where I've been

Count to three

Close your eyes

If you hear me laughin'

Don't look around

[Final Chorus]

Dark Bunny Dark Bunny hangin' on the moon

Sang you a soft sweet out-of-tune

Hop-hop hush-hush night is cold and deep

I collect the little secrets that you try to keep

Dark Bunny Dark Bunny pretty little theft

Every coward step is something that I kept

I wave and wink and fade from sight

Then leave one black ribbon on your bed tonight

[Outro]

Mm

Mm-hmm

Hush now

I'm already inside
